Indeed it was the corner of Altmore Avenue and Burgess Rd. The local primary was Lathom Rd. My cousins lived in Altmore Ave. I lived in Caulfield Rd.

I went to Kingston Grammar School. Famous for hockey, and players like Richard Dodds, who was part of the GB Olympic team who won gold in 1988 in Seoul.
Next best would be me. The HM told my parents (I was 16 at the time, and nutty about sport) that I would never be good enough to play professional sport. I sent the HM some tickets for a Nat West Final I played in, a few years later.

John Dunne from aston villa? He turned up at Warren Comp in the 80's!
Also had a purple patch at that time in Warren. Tony Cottee, Jason Leonard of egg chasing fame, and Colin McMillan the world champion featherweight boxer.

We made the Semi finals of the National Vets cup competition I seem to remember. Think we lost to Old Corithians who paraded a few ex England amatures on the day. Eddie was our star. I was a youngster of about 38 at the time so still could get around in that company.
